Streetwear gets a feminine touch with Waisted, created by tennis phenom Parris Todd, who designs fashionable styles that accentuate a woman’s waist and silhouette.
As Parris traveled the world playing tennis, she grew inspired by her exposure to other cultures, people and fashions from around the globe. She began designing clothing for herself that reflected these experiences, envisioning items that were both compatible with her active, independent lifestyle and played into her fun, worldly aesthetic. Noticing a lack of fashionable, reasonably priced streetwear options in boutiques and department stores, she decided to create the Waisted brand. From cutting and sewing vintage items in her garage, to hosting and starring in shoots and collaborations across the United States, Parris’ designs quickly gained popularity, and by customer demand, expanded into the elevated fashion and accessory line that it is today.
Since its official launch in 2017, Waisted has picked up heat on social media and in major retailers, competing with some of the top sports and streetwear brands out there. Parris continues to take inspiration from the world around her, and wants her apparel to tell the story of a generation that has purpose.
Best said by Parris herself:
“I want to show millennials that they can succeed at a young age, and through my designs, give them a voice and confidence that can’t be ignored.”
With Waisted, Parris combines her two lifelong passions—athletics and fashion—into a truly unique collection of streetwear designs that are flattering, affordable, and timeless, inspiring playful confidence in each woman who wears it.
